I've been very reasonable since Yuletide spree. I need to finish reading all my digital manga purchases before raiding again the ebookstores —and so far, I must have read less than 10 titles from the list.

Still, this month, I couldn't help buying these 5 digital mangas:

I'm regretting having purchased the 'Cute Crossdresser' as it is not one of my fetishes —it's not even explicit from my quick browsing, looks more like some softcore doujin type of manga—, but I needed an ebook with a certain price to optimize the discount offered by the site, and I was only interested in one novella ebook at that time, so for some reason I can't understand, I put that manga in my virtual basket. *facepalm*

I've also ordered 2 more paperbooks, waiting for them to be shipped.

I wonder if something's happened about the digital Harlequin and Romance comics that were officially released in English? I've been waiting since last summer for a new title to purchase but nothing. For a while JManga displayed new titles in English that I couldn't access due to geographical restrictions, and other fans whith whom I discussed couldn't access them either.

Maybe JManga was lying about the existence of those translated manga just to attract customers. Now that the site is closing, I'll have to wait again and see if something new comes up at another ebookstore.

Wow, you're reading (or at least buying!) a lot! Do you have any particular recommendations out of the titles that are available only in e-format? I've only bought like one so far... I keep meaning to look more into the selection, but am stalling due to lack of time & money, and because it's a pain to read on a netbook. ^^;

Ah, I've been so very busy so I hardly have time to read. So far, I've only read the ebooks by Shima Asahi and Yamada Mario from last winter buying spree. I don't know if Shima Asahi is of any interest to you. I don't really like the art style and it's very very clichés with weak ukes and overbearing alpha semes, bordering PWP, but somehow, I was surprisingly pleased by her mangas.

I know it's hard to get a feel of a manga with just 10 pages preview. If you want, you can point at the DMG mangas which may interest you and if I have them, I can send you a longer preview.

I'm in fact very careful with my budget. I can keep on saving money for a year in order to go splurging on purchases at very precise moments. The 100 ebooks I listed here:
http://idromancejunkie.wordpress.com/2013/01/01/new-years-sucks/#more-2445
I paid less than half their full prices.

I'm registered at BooksonBoard (BoB). They don't have all new ebooks like the kindle catalogue of Amazon and for the DMG mangas, they only offer epub format. But I like them nonetheless.

Permanently, BoB have an interesting reward dollar system and variable discounts, plus additional dollars off the cart total if you know the trick. They can offer other special promotions from time to time.
Nearly every week, they discount from 10 to 30% of certain ebooks. And at holiday seasons, the discounts usually get higher if you are patient enough. The best time for bargains is yuletide because the prices of most ebooks at their site would drop by 50%. Second best time is usually Easter, like this time when the discount was about 40%. You just need to watch and wait for the moment when the discounts+promotions are worth enough for you to purchase.

Edit: Scratch what I said about how BoB works. I just tried their site today and was surprised by the news that they are restructuring. So the site is no longer accessible for newcomers. I'll quickly save all my purchases at BoB and wait and see if they come back.

I think I've read something of Shima Asahi's a long time ago. Can't say I remember much about it except for the art style, but somehow overt cliches are entertaining every now and then! :D

Uh, I probably wouldn't get around to reading the previews anyway (it's been a busy year for me too), so it's cool... Thanks for the offer though!

BooksonBoard sounded like an interesting service, I hope the restructuring doesn't mean that they'll fold. There's just so many businesses closing these days.
