All right, I'm updating about the goodies I've received from French manga publishers.

There, from Doki-doki, I got chopsticks made of bamboo. They are simple but I like their looks. A Japanese friend once offered me chopsticks and I noticed that they are either coarse at the pointed ends or with grooved tips. I'm used to smooth chopsticks so I thought that was a genius idea to help people get a better grip on the food.

The Stupid Story (Anna Hollmann) note book is from Taifu comics. Not bad. I'll keep it maybe for writing down recipes.

The Vampire Knight (Matsuri Hino) necklace is a goodie from Panini. I'm not into jewelries. I should wait for my sister coming back home this Christmas to ask her if she wants it — she's into that kind of stuff.

The 2 Kilari (Nakahara An) clearfiles were given by Glénat. I don't know the series. I'll see if a daughter of my friends will be happy to get it.

So today, I've unwrapped the volume 6 of Viewfinder French version, published by Kazé/Asuka. It's nice that the price is the same as a regular volume. The cover of the booklet is softer than the Japanese version because the paper used is thinner. I regret that French publishers use such thin paper but I should still be grateful that the prices are reasonable.

I've mentioned in a previous message the French Be×Boy #13 because of the stickers. So here is the magazine.

And last, it's not manga related but about French comics. I received this promotional mini artbook, Les Dragons, from Soleil Celtic. You can get it if you purchase 3 of their comics — and darn they are expensive! @_@ The illustrations aren't really to my taste but it is still nice to get that kind of artbook. Here, I've taken photos of all illustrations. I like best the painting for the cover by Laurent Miny and Alain Brion's illustration. Leonid Pilipovic's drawing is also quite eye-catching here.

I assume this artbook is a selection of illustrations from series by various artists published by Soleil Celtic since it is promotional material, after all.

Yes I do—purchase what they ask for the goodies. That's why my budget is so tight. My bookshop seller loves me—more like he's in love with my depleted wallet but he doesn't have much goodies. LOL.

For the chopsticks, I had to buy 2 books published by Doki-Doki. For the necklace, you have to purchase 2 Vampire Knight mangas. The Stupid Story note book is given if you purchase 2 Taifu comics mangas. Each clearfile was given after the purchase of 2 Glénat mangas.
But the one that was really expensive in comparison is the Western mini-artbook offered by Soleil Celtic. Their cheapest comics cost 13,50€. So 3 comics to get this artbook is quite harmful for my budget.

I purchase lots of litterature aside mangas. There are sometimes gifts I get from specialized shops but those promotions are usually by novel publishers. About my collection of manga related giveaways, it started last year (more like at the beginning of this year but I was aware of the promotion months before it actually started) because I was very interested in Kazé's bento boxes (http://lethalene.livejournal.com/6395.html#cutid1). I bought a helluva lot of mangas from that publisher to get several boxes. ^_^

I don't know if you're interested in shoujo but this year (more like at the beginning of 2012 for the promotion to actually start), I know Kazé will renew the bento boxes promotion. But this time, they will have pictures from "Happy Mariage" by Enjouji Maki and "Dengeki Daisy" by Motomi Kyousuke. It's okay for me, these are the few shoujo series I enjoy.

the things is you have to target and group your buying act if you want the goodies.Gosh that is a lot of strategy :D
Have you tried to write to the publishers to get goodies like the publicity card they put in the store (sometimes to hang or to put on a shelve) those things are sometimes pretty :3 ?

No, I don't make a habit of writing to them to ask for things. Last time I did that, I got a book mark from Kazé. Not that it's not nice, but that's not really what interests me. I don't go hunting every goodies, only those which have caught my eye.
